The Great River Trail extends 62 miles from the Quad Cities to Savanna, Illinois. Eleven communities and 3 counties are evenly spaced along the 62 mile recreational path. Each city and village offers an invitation to pause for a moment on the route to explore the remarkable diversity each community represents.

  The Great River Trail is partner of the Grand Illinois Trail, a 500 mile loop trail around Northern Illinois from Lake Michigan to the Mississippi River. In Fulton, a loop which branches off the main trail at 9th Avenue is marked to guide you thru city streets. It connects to a trail built atop the riverfront flood dike and then proceeds southerly to reconnect to the main trail near U.S Route 30.
