If asked, Linda Hollis is willing to serve again as Treasurer (Bennett noted she has no choice). Steve Owen is the current Vice Presidents but was not in attendance. Bill Stoermer informed Heather that if no one would accept the Presidency, he would be willing. Member Relations: The Member Ed Committee did not meet in June, but Bennett noted the committee is working to schedule a small business workshop sometime in September or October. Dykstra reported the Bridal & Anniversary Walk went well, although several of the registrants did not make their way downtown from Manny's. Fifty-five (55) brides registered at the second annual event. The vendors located inside Manny's were very pleased. The committee will meet to discuss changes/additions for next year's event. The Green Expo is coming along and minutes from the last meeting were provided to the board. Several free public disposal services will be offered. Downtown: Chuck Dykstra briefly updated the board on the progress being made to the former Vander Vinne building located in downtown Fulton. The interior is now complete and the group has received a façade grant to assist with the outside front renovation. The building materials (windows, doors, etc.) were shipped on June 20 but experienced some damage so the group is waiting for a new shipment of materials. Dykstra estimates the building will sell for around $135,000 with rental fees bringing in $1,035/month which will increase to $1,235/month in September once the renovation is complete.
