CITY OF FULTON
Mayor Russell called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the roll. On roll call, Mayor Larry Russell, Aldermen Charles Dykstra, Gene Field, Merle Sterenberg, Charlie Letcher, Wes Letcher, Bill Loerop and Ron Roels. Ald. Warren Juist was absent. Also in attendance were Randy Balk - City Administrator, Dan Clark - Public Works Director and Heather Bennett - Tourism Director.
There was no communication from visitors.
Ald. Roels moved, seconded by Ald. C. Letcher to approve United Healthcare Insurance Company of the River Valley for employee group coverage to be effective April 1, 2010 and to pay the annual physical co-pay for all covered individuals. Roll call vote/all yes/motion carried.
The increase in premiums for the existing group plan with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois would have been 24%. By changing to UnitedHealthcare the increase in cost will be below 5%.
Ald. Roels moved, seconded by Ald. C. Letcher to enter executive session to discuss the purchase of lease of property and collective negotiating matters. Roll call vote/all yes/motion carried.
The council entered executive session at 5:12PM. Executive session minutes are recorded elsewhere.
The council returned to regular session at 6:30PM and immediately adjourned.
