CITY OF FULTON
REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
MARCH 5, 2012
5:30PM

Mayor Russell called the meeting to order and directed the clerk to call the roll.  On roll call, Mayor Larry Russell, Alderpersons Charles Dykstra, Gene Field, Margaret Crosthwaite, Dan Nederhoff, Warren Juist, Wes Letcher and Howard Van Zuiden answered present.  Ald. Randy Boonstra was absent.  Also in attendance were Bill Shirk - City Attorney, Randy Balk - City Administrator and Jim Rhoades - Chief of Police.  

The pledge of allegiance was recited and the invocation was given by Pastor Tom Merchant from Trinity Reformed Church.

There was no communication from visitors.

Ald. Field moved, seconded by Ald. Crosthwaite to approve the March 21, 2012 regular council meeting minutes.  Roll call vote/all yes/motion carried.

Ald. Van Zuiden moved, seconded by Ald. Letcher to pass Resolution No. 230 and Resolution No. 231 authorizing Central Bank e-banking.  Roll call vote/all yes/motion carried.

Ald. Letcher moved, seconded by Ald. Crosthwaite to approve general ledger line item 21-00-533 (TIF Fund legal) with a budget amount of $500.  Roll call vote/all yes/motion carried.

Randy Balk told the council there is a prospective buyer for the Fulton Mobile Home Park. He asked the council to consider whether the dedicated streets issue should be resolved.   Some of the mobile homes are located on city streets. 

Randy said the finance committee will be meeting on Wednesday.  After the meeting he will let council members know if the budget workshop scheduled for Saturday, March 10th will be cancelled.

Ald. Van Zuiden moved, seconded by Ald. Crosthwaite to adjourn.  Roll call vote/all yes/motion carried.  The meeting adjourned at 5:50pm
