Unity's 100 Days 100 Blessings Project

What better way to celebrate 100 days of school and thank God for his 100's of blessings than to share some of those blessings with others in need?  That's just what the grade schoolers at Unity Christian School did.  By their 100th day of school, their goal was to collect 100 boxes of macaroni and cheese to donate to the Fulton Food Bank, 100 jars of baby food to donate to the Pregnancy Center, and 100 pairs of socks to donate to the Victory Center.  The students not only met this goal, but exceeded it!  Just as God is generous to us, the students were generous in their giving.  They donated 176 boxes of macaroni and cheese, 172 jars of baby food, and 143 pairs of socks!  To God be the glory!

A BIRTHDAY PARTY TO REMEMBER!

Celebrating the birth date of a former President of the United States of America with the President's son is a memorable occasion.  Three members of the Fulton Historical Society were invited to the birthday luncheon in honor of President Ronald Reagan's 99th birth date.  Michael Reagan, his eldest son, presented an impressive and heartfelt speech.

Fulton has recently been added to the Ronald Reagan Trail, which includes several cities, and approved by the Illinois General Assembly.  President Reagan's parents were born, worked, married, and made their first home in Fulton.   Both of the President's grandmothers are buried in Fulton along with two of his favorite aunts, both of whom he speaks of fondly in his autobiography, AN AMERICAN LIFE.
