Fulton High Hosts 16-Team Speech Tournament

            The FHS Steamer Speech Team hosted 15 other teams for a speech tournament on Dec. 20.  The team as a whole placed 7th out of 16 teams. Individual awards went to: Kelsey McFarren  - 2nd in Varsity Dramatic Interpretation, Shelby Wilkens - 2nd in Varsity Prose Reading, Megan Collins - 5th in novice Dramatic Interp and 6th in novice Humorous Interp, Colleen Ware -  6th in novice Extemporaneous Speaking and 2nd in novice Impromptu Speaking, Deneé Stone - 5th in novice Impromptu and 4th in novice Special Occasion Speaking.

Between finals and the awards ceremony Santa (Oscar Clark) and his elf (daughter Cheryl Tack) posed for pictures with the students. All students received treat bags from Santa. A special thanks goes out to Oscar and Cheryl and to Ed Cole for taking photographs. Also many thanks go to the speech parents and local merchants for their donations to concessions. Parent Night is Thursday, Jan. 8, at 6:30 in the Choir Room. Everyone is welcome to attend.
