Momentum Builds at The Complex
Excitement filled the air at The Complex open house held on February 14. Approximately 300 people came by the future recreation and community center to take a tour of the building, learn more about the project, and donate. Even the youngest of visitors were eager to help make the dream a reality. Sisters Gabrielle and Calista Pestka came with money they had saved to contribute to The Complex.
Throughout the afternoon, board members heard the same comment from all visitors, "I can't believe how big this place is!" Another common thought was, "We've needed something like this for so long!" The time has come and the area will soon be able to take advantage of a center that promotes physical, social, and mental health.
Board members also say that The Complex will not become a reality without the continued support of Fulton and the surrounding communities. "Gabrielle and Calista reinforce the fact that every little bit helps and everyone can do something," said Colleen Wilkin, Campaign Manager." Everyone who donates will be recognized on the Wall of Donors. There are also sponsorship and naming opportunities for larger donations. The Complex is a not-for-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
