Arnie Huizenga is de Immigrant's Lead Miller.  He chooses when we have enough wind, grain and volunteers to do some grinding.  He is also one of the original Millers trained in the Netherlands.  When asked why he volunteers ... he said, it's just FUN!!  A good reason for anyone to volunteer!!

Larry Russell wants us all to know we have a fascinating and truly unique facility and location for our Fulton Windmill.  He says it's exciting to maintain, operate and then tell our guests all about it.  You get to know other Millers and Miller Lites and that's just a bonus!!  Come check out what it's all about!!

Susie Mesecher, is a new recruit who lives in Clinton and is the Director of the Clinton Public Library.  As a member of Rotary and Kiwanis, she was looking for volunteer opportunities in the area.  Susie met Pam at a wine tasting event at the Camanche Friends of the library event and thought this would be a good fit.  She said de Immigrant is a great tourist attraction for the entire area and brings many guests from all over the world. Welcome aboard Susie!!

Dawn Chapin is a new recruit who lives in Camanche and runs the family farm with her husband.  She does a spinning class at the YW where Pam VanZuiden expounded on the need for volunteers at the Wind Mill and how interesting it was to meet and visit with all the guests. But it took a visit to the Mill over the Dutch Days festival to peek her interest in all things mill related.  We're so happy to have you join the crew!!

Trudy Feldt is a new recruit to de Immigrant. Her husband Bob was a long time Miller but Trudy mostly worked across the street at the WCC as a docent and member of the Ed. Comm.  She and Bob have traveled to and visited mills on 3 continents and the Caribbean.  She knew the Mill was in peril of not being able to open our doors because our volunteer numbers had fallen to so few.  Thanks, Trudy for stepping up to help keep our doors open!!
