A. Letter of Thanks to Fulton Flood Control District (page 4)
Summary: The Fulton Flood Control District contributed $800.00 (50%) towards the cost to upgrade the tornado siren at the RFCC. The upgrade allows the Fulton Police Department to trigger the alarm remotely, saving valuable time and ensuring Fulton residents receive faster warning of dangerous weather conditions.
B. Section-42 Housing Presentation by Bear Development
Summary: Joe Schwenker will give a presentation on a proposed Section 42 housing development at the former J.T. Cullen site. Bear Development is out of Kenosha, WI.
C. Street Lighting Contract Bids (page 5)
Summary: The street lighting contract with Constellation expires in July 2015. Rock River Energy has received bids and the best option is to let the account revert back to ComEd and revisit again in 2016.
Action: Select electrical provider for City street lights
D. Construction start at 3rd Ward Park
Summary: The Public Works department is ready to begin construction of the pavilion at the new 3rd Ward Park. Staff recommends a blanket permit to cover all new construction at the park and waive permit fees.
Action: Waive building permit fees
7. Old Business
A. Street closure request for Blessing of the Bikes (page 6)
Summary: The Blessing of the Bikes will be Sunday, June 7th from 12:00 – 6:00. Street closures begin a 10:00 AM. Open possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages will be allowed within the defined areas of public streets during the event.
Action: Approve Street Closure Request
