De Immigrant & Windmill Cultural Center 2019 Field Trips and Youth Tours

“Life’s a Breeze”     Field Trip & Youth Tours Opportunity

ATTENTION:  Area Administrators, Teachers, Staff, & PTA/PTO,

We enthusiastically invite you to visit us at Fulton’s de Immigrant Windmill and the Windmill Cultural Center this school year, 2019. In 2018, nearly 1,000 school children, teachers and parents visited us. Learning opportunities at WCC/de Immigrant will be available for school groups of 50 or fewer students April through October for one-hour time slots. Groups should have one adult sponsor for every ten children. Please contact us at least three weeks in advance of a group tour.

The curriculum's focus is invisible forces and weather. The curriculum is adapted to each grade level with interactive based activities.

In addition to this presentation, Fulton also features Heritage Canyon where teachers lead their students on a self guided walking tour through buildings of yesteryear. Classes usually spend 1 to 1 ½ hours at Heritage Canyon. School groups often bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at Fulton’s 10th Avenue Park. WCC and de Immigrant are located next to the Mississippi River. A walking trail allows easy access for river environment exploration.

Due to the influx of visitors during our annual Dutch Days Festival (1st weekend in May) and the space limitations, we will not schedule school groups on Friday, May 3, 2019. We encourage you to take advantage of any other weekday April through October.

Plan to spend half a day or all day in Fulton. If you would like to receive more information about available tours or would like to schedule a field trip, please respond with an email to This email address is being protected from spambots.
